Empowering Veterans for Agricultural Success (EVAS)
The Farmer Veteran Coalition of California (FVCCA) has been awarded a USDA NIFA grant to launch the Empowering Veterans for Agricultural Success (EVAS) program. This statewide project will help California veterans strengthen or start farm and ranch businesses through training, mentorship, field days, and hands-on support.
Below are current contract opportunities available under this program. We invite veterans, farmer-veteran families, and community partners to apply or share these postings.
Project Manager (Independent Contractor)
Part-Time • Hybrid • 3-Year USDA NIFA Contract
Summary:
The Project Manager will lead statewide coordination of the EVAS program. This includes managing partners, scheduling events and workshops, tracking grant milestones, and supporting veteran participants throughout the training process.

Case Manager (Independent Contractor)

Summary:
The Case Manager will support EVAS participants by conducting intake interviews, building personalized training plans, tracking progress, and connecting veterans with the tools and resources needed to grow their farm or ranch operations.
